My mum bought home some photos of my Grampy ( her Dad) who died before I was born and so havent seen many photos of him really. Have seen lots of photos of my Grandad ( who also died before I was born). I like to think they would have liked me were they alive...
It got me thinking anyway, I really love photographs. They can make you happy, sad and thoughtful. My parents house and my flat are full of my photos, in their packets, in frames or in my new hanging photo wall. I had to cut some up to fit in a frame and I hate cutting photos. Nowadays I guess its better because you can just reorder them from your memory card, but the photos developed from film, oh I just couldnt bring myself to cut them at all.
The above photo is my Mum, my Grampy and my Aunty on holiday. My mum is about 14yrs old here. I just love my Grampy's shorts. They're just awesome. I really wish I had known him!
Your Grandad Swapp and your Grampy Gessey would have loved you to absolute bits! No question at all. Just to put it on public record they would have both loved you unconditionally as your folks do! I miss them both, as does your Mum, and yet we know they would have been filled with joy at having a granddaughter as special and wonderful as you!
